There's actually a story behind this drawing. One morning when I was getting ready for work my sister texts me and asks me to make her a mask of the "Nightbeast", a monster from a Troma movie. Throughout the day I kept on wondering how I am going to pull this off, I had to go to work for most of the day and then had to go to practice with one of the bands I am in "Shake Hands with Danger". Essentially I came home at 1:00 A.M, drunk, and managed to create this piece of work. Needless to say I impressed myself, I'll have to get the pics from my sister of the mask in action because it looked fairly badass. A personal favorite of mine.

This Time...It's Serious

I've spent way too long dicking around about everything in my life, my skills as a drummer, my skills as a writer, and my skills as an artist. It's time to serious the fuck up. So I'm gonna put myself on a damn schedule and get some stuff done. So, here we go...again. Hopefully for the last time.

First up, most people who know me know I am quite the avid Street Fighter fan. I love all the characters but Zangief was always just so crazy, so insane, so...damn macho that I can't help but love him. Damned if he isn't a bitch to play as though.

1: Werewolves are Bad Ass Motherfuckers.

Seriously, look at a werewolf, they are pretty much badass incarnate. Raw, rip-you-to-fucking-shreds power. If I honestly had to pick between fighting a vampire, a zombie, a mummy, and a werewolf I would honestly pick anything but the werewolf because sure a vampire can drain you of life, a zombie can turn you into one of the shambling undead, and a mummy can curse you or something, but a werewolf will basically come at you out of nowhere and either rip you in half or just rip your face off. Either way it’s probably going to be an incredibly painful and bloody death. Plus I personally say a werewolf could kick the shit out of any of the previously mentioned creatures. I mean a vampire, get lucky enough to jab them in the heart with a stake or have a cross on you and your fine. Zombie, take its head off with whatever weapon you get your hand on. Mummy…um…actually I don’t know, fire? Werewolf, you need silver. Fucking silver. I mean seriously what are the odds of anyone carrying something like that on them? Let alone a weapon made out of it. Besides say for example you have a weapon, good luck hitting the damn thing, I’m sure bullets can be dodged rather easily and honestly I wouldn’t want to have to get up close to a werewolf

2: They aren’t vampires or zombies.

I’m sick of vampires and zombies, I am sure a lot of people are, the whole zombie craze that happened not too long ago was enough to make me swear of most zombie related things except for Left 4 Dead which even grew stale to me. Don’t get me wrong there were good things about the zombie craze, Shaun of the Dead for example, a great movie that I still can get enjoyment out of to this day. The Dawn of the Dead remake, sue me, I actually really enjoyed it. But what about the bad? Where do I start? All the shitty movies that came out on dvd, the sequels to Romero movies that had no business being made, Day of the Dead 2: Contagium? Fuck you. Make your own damn movie, don’t make a half assed sequel to what is personally my favorite of the Dead trilogy. I could go on for hours about that. Plus couple that with the fact that I have been part of more “I bet I would survive the zombie apocalypse” conversations than I care to mention. Basically that was an excuse for people to talk about how awesome they would be with a chainsaw, a gun, something that they had would probably end up killing themselves with anyway. One moron friend of mine went so far as to write a ridiculous story involving his friends who I unfortunately was a part of, pure awful shit. Who do you think survives? Take a guess. Vampires it’s kind of the same thing, though not as bad. Yes, I think Twilight sucks; then again I doubt the movies are really aimed at my demographic. I hate those movies because they mostly just look awful and I think Kristen Stewart is not only hideous looking, but also just a terrible, terrible actor. Still though vampires lost their edge, though from the few episodes of True Blood I saw they still have some respectable qualities left. I want to see more classic style vampires though, such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night’s Dracula!

From what I am told she makes this face throughout 90% of the film...makes me really want to punch her just to change it.

3: The new Wolfman movie is utilizing the classic lore.

I had not read too much into the new Wolfman movie before I actually got to see the trailer during a Sunday night viewing of Inglorious Basterds but I was damn impressed with what I saw. The setting is perfect, the casting so far seems spot on, plus the whole atmosphere of the movie is amazing. It’s essentially taking the basic concept of the Wolfman story and applying it to a more unique setting, which I love. Though the trailer did not show much, as it should, but whatever it showed got me really psyched to see what may be a great movie involving one of my favorite monsters. Just check out the posters, pure awesome. This may possibly be a first day theater visit for me if the reviews end up being positive enough. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Wolfman is something I get called quite often, next to Wookie. So I have a little bit of a connection with werewolves from that perspective I suppose.

Where Have I Been?

It has been quite some time since I updated the old blog, quite a lot of things have happened in that time. From what everyone seems to recall I was having a great time being a comic book cover artist, going to conventions, all that fun stuff. Sadly that came to a pretty soul crushing end come Comic-con, but that’s quite a story, one I doubt people are very interested in. So I will make this post short and relatively to the point. I am going to try my damndest to update this thing more often, maybe not with drawing; perhaps just with articles in general, sure no one may read them, maybe someone will, who cares? It’s a blog damn it! Stay tuned.

THE MASTER

Well I kind of messed up on the whole "update more often thing" but I'm getting better at it! Here's a little something I did very sporadically and in about 10 minutes. Behold, THE MASTER played by Lee Van Cleef. Me and my good friend Dave (http://www.davelossoart.blogspot.com/) as well as some of my other co-workers get to together every week or so to do a Gauntlet. Basically sit through as many shitty movies as you can and last saturday this awesome bit of terrible film making known as THE MASTER was in our selection. Seriously check these movies out, they are hilariously awesome in their ridiculousness. Van Cleef is a ninja master on the run and has a sidekick he is teaching his skills to, he usually starts off each episode by saving a damsel in distress with the help of a trusty stuntman and a roundhouse kick.

Original Character- Luna

One of my original characters I started sketching idea for when a friend of mine introduced me to the glory of Tank Girl. Basically I fell in love with the idea of a brash, rude, chain smoking, punk star guitarist. Figure I would put her into a universe where she has to battle zombies, mummies, werewolves and other assorted monsters all through the power of rocking. Hopefully I can flesh more ideas out for her and her band mates in the future. A question I usually get is what are my characters? To tell you the truth I have no idea, not human? Not furries, I'd say more so along the line of Usagi Yojimbo in terms of concept. I just really like drawing non human characters in most cases. Anyway I've gone on long enough, enjoy!

Dark Stalkers-Lord Raptor

I love me some fighting games, I also really love me some Capcom fighting games. Dark Stalkers was always one of the coolest albeit not as well known ones, featuring zombies, werewolves, and big titted succubi's. Capcom had a contest to get into one of their tribute books, sadly I didn't make it but for doing this like 3 days before they were due I think I did pretty well. This is one of my favorite characters from the game Lord Raptor, a rock star zombie...do I have to say anymore? Didn't think so. Enjoy!

I've finally decided to just say screw it and start my blog and start uploading, anything really. Normal drawings, dirty drawings, whatever comes.
